Tsaglis Extra Virgin Olive Oil contains 0.27% acidity, far below maximum 0.80% allowed in order to be categorized as 'Extra Virgin'
Tsaglis is a very balanced extra virgin olive oil. Far surpassing all requirements to be called extra virgin, including sensory (taste and smell) testing, and laboratory analysis. Tsaglis extra virgin olive oil is well rounded with great aroma, superior taste, and very high antioxidant values due to the Koroneiki species of olive it is made from. Some oils are good for only one purpose, such as for frying, or for grilling, or for salad dressing only, because most olives are not very balanced. The taste profile of the Koroneiki olive is very balanced, which you do not see with other olives. The oil derived from the koroneiki olive is well rounded so that the oil produced is not only suitable, but desirable for all applications! It is rich in taste, with a peppery finish. All of our olives are grown on the mountain sides of the Messinia region of Greece, which has been recorded to be a main hub of olive oil production since ancient times. In fact, in the village of Iklenia where the oil is produced, the oldest clay tablet in western civilization was found with writing on it recording the production of olive oil, as Iklenia was the administrative capital of the area similar to the old 'city-state' system of Greece.
This high quality metal container blocks UV rays which damage and degrade the oil, so you can enjoy Tsaglis extra virgin olive oil in it's purest state and without the unpleasant taste that cheap plastic containers add. This container uses a collapsing resealable pouring spout which is easy to pull up and push back in for easy storage.
